ABS Basel Shines in “Check dein Wissen 2024”
In May, the Year 5 class from ABS Basel participated in the academic progress checks “Check dein Wissen” alongside state schools.
We were incredibly impressed with their performances in German, Mathematics, and French – Bravo!!

Little Artists at Work🎨
The kindergarten graduates of ABS Basel have been creating impressive self-portraits to decorate their classroom.
During the first two weeks of school, the theme at ABS Basel is “Learning to Learn,” where students explore their new environment and learn more about themselves and their classmates.
The pupils have discussed the importance of kindness, familiarized themselves with primary school routines, and discovered what helps them learn best.

It’s a device for crafting delightfully nonsensical poems!
ABS Basel Year 5 students have been exploring the world of unusual nouns, powerful verbs, and emotional adjectives, piecing together silly yet creative lines to form verses of pure fun.
Each verse is capped off with a rhyming line, adding to the whimsy. This lesson on wordplay sparked the imaginations, introducing the students to words they might not have considered before.
The result? A resounding success!
