Ice Bucket Challenge 🧊
With temperatures reaching 38°C before the summer break, the Ice Bucket Challenge felt more like a refreshing reward than a challenge.
ABS Basel’s ever-enthusiastic sports teacher, Mr Radulescu, took it on with great humour, much to the delight of the pupils. There were plenty of laughs all around, and it was the perfect way to cool off on a hot summer day.
A huge thank you to Mr Radulescu for being such a good sport. Moments like these bring joy to everyday school life and make the ABS Basel community so special.
Who knows, perhaps another challenge will be waiting next year.

The artwork coming out of ABS Basel’s Friday Drawing Club continues to impress.
With guidance from inspiring teachers and the focus, creativity, and enthusiasm of engaged students, the results speak for themselves.
This latest collection of realistic drawings from Primary School Year 4 and 5 shows wonderful attention to detail, skill, and imagination.

A Creative City Experience 🖼️
ABS Basel’s Year 5 students recently enjoyed an inspiring visit to Art Basel Parcours, where they explored a diverse range of contemporary artworks displayed throughout the city.
As they made their way through the Parcours, the students discovered how artists transform everyday spaces into places of creativity, imagination, and reflection through sculpture, installation, and interactive works. They shared their observations, discussed their favourite pieces, and considered the many ways artists communicate ideas in unexpected and thought-provoking ways.
The experience offered a valuable opportunity to engage with art beyond the classroom, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. It also inspired the students to explore new possibilities in their own artistic practice and to see the world around them through a more creative lens.

Summer Fete 2026 🎉
What a fantastic way to wrap up the school year. Academia Bilingual Basel’s Summer Fete was filled with fun, laughter, and celebration.
Delicious treats included legendary frappuccinos and mouthwatering waffles, while a wide range of games brought plenty of fun for everyone. The Student Talent Quest and performances showcased the creativity and confidence of the students.
It was a joy to celebrate with the wonderful parent community and reflect on a year filled with hard work, growth, and achievement.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined and helped make the day so special.

Swiss Basketball 3x3🏀
Three teams, one exciting tournament, and plenty of school spirit!
ABS Basel was proud to be represented by three teams at the recent Swiss Basketball 3x3 tournament in Bern.
The travelling athletes embraced the challenge, supported one another and enjoyed a fantastic day of competitive basketball.
For many students, it was their first opportunity to compete in basketball, making the experience even more memorable.
A special congratulations goes to the Year 5 team, who achieved an impressive 4th-place finish!
Thank you to the supportive families for helping make the day possible, and to Coach George for coordinating the event and encouraging the players throughout.
