Creative Bonds 🤝
Recently, ABS Basel Year 3 visited a nearby aged care home for a creative collaboration, led by Mrs. Berger.
We're delighted to share some wonderful feedback from the home’s activity leader:
“Our creative meeting last week was a complete success. It was so nice to see how calmly and focused the residents painted together with the children! What a great idea!”
The children, initially a bit nervous, found joy in the experience. It's inspiring to see the connections formed between young and old through art.

Mastering Parcours 🤸
In recent sports lessons, ABS Basel Year 6 tackled an exciting unit on parkour, under the expert guidance of Mr. Locker.
They started with mastering the safe use of various gym equipment and learning proper execution techniques.
The class then creatively designed and taught their parkour routines to classmates.
Their engagement shone brightly, both in understanding the theoretical aspects and in practical application.
We commend Year 6 for their outstanding achievements – they have every reason to be proud.

Easter Adventures and Llama Insights
The ABS Basel Easter holiday club offered the children a well-rounded week, featuring a diverse mix of activities.
One of the highlights was undoubtedly our visit to Kluser Lamas / Obere Klus, where the pupils gained insights into the care of these calm and gentle animals, alongside other farm duties.
The week was also filled with various physical activities and Easter crafting, ensuring a balance of learning and fun.
Looking ahead, our next camps are scheduled for the first two weeks of the summer holidays.
It’s a great opportunity for more enriching experiences.

From Basel with Love — a Multilingual Masterpiece! 🎻
Basel Symphony Orchestra, with its Singalong-Project, joined ABS Basel recently with an experience which was both moving and inspiring.
From a catalogue of songs, pupils of Years 4 & 5 had been prepared by the music teacher, Mrs. Brändle, to sing songs from all over the world in six different languages over the past few months.
Together, the performance was wonderfully brought to life.
This was certainly an experience we wish the parents could have witnessed live.
We must say the teaching team who could not resist looking in were moved by the collaboration.

Academia Wolves Unleash Team Spirit
As the weather warms, inter-school sports begins!
ABS Basel ventured to Rheinfelden recently to compete in a morning of orienteering over some quite challenging terrain, working in teams to crack strategic codes.
Our teachers were thrilled with their efforts and map reading skills, as all completed the course successfully.
A big thanks to ipso Bildung Rheinfelden for hosting.
Up next on the programme is the annual x-country event, set down for Monday, 21 April for Years 2-6.
The Academia Wolves are looking forward to it!
