After school programme à la carte

Competent and caring supervision of our students outside lessons is an integral part of our concept. We are happy to help you organise your family’s work, school and leisure activities efficiently.

Morning supervision

Children can arrive at school starting at 8 a.m. and play with their classmates or prepare for the day. Lessons commence at 8:30 a.m.

Lunch

A balanced and healthy meal is freshly prepared each day for all children in our Kindergarten and Primary School who do not bring their own food from home. We offer meat, vegetarian and vegan options daily, taking allergy requirements carefully into account. Nutritious snacks are available during break times, and all playtime that follows is fully supervised.

Afternoon supervision

Spoilt for choice: experienced and motivated staff are responsible for our extensive range of afternoon activities. The different clubs (see box) are not only fun, but also promote social competence, empowerment, personal responsibility and creativity. Our clubs are freely accessible – the children can try them out and switch between clubs within the school year. Children can choose to take part depending on their strengths and they have an opportunity to experience success alone or as part of a team.

We are also happy to organise piano, guitar, drum and singing lessons at our school for your child.

Children are also free to explore the school grounds in the afternoons, whether they prefer active play or creative activities. Climbing frames, a sports court, table football, a cosy cubby house and a wide range of crafting materials are all available for them to enjoy.

School bus

Our school bus generally runs inside the city of Basel. Flexible options are available for families interested in door-to-door transport. Please contact us!

Sport

The Academia Wolves demonstrate their athletic skills in various team sports during matches in our school or against other school teams, where they not only learn how to win and lose, but also get to know team spirit and fair play.

Camp

Years 4 to 6 go on a ski camp every winter and an outdoor adventure camp is organised for Years 3 and above in summer. These events take place during the school year.

Supervision during school holidays

We also offer attractive programmes for all age groups during many of the school holidays.

Our afternoon clubs:

Kindergarten:

  • Mini Cooking Club
We cook together and discover healthy eating, at times picking ingredients from our own vegetable garden.
  • Mini Adventure Club
Weekly outings encompass visits to adventure centres, museums, theatres, swim centres or other  facilities in Basel with our qualified team.

  • Mini Football Club
On one afternoon a week, our junior wolves learn basic skills with a qualified coach. This group also participates in friendlies within the community.

Primary School:

Students can choose from various clubs, e.g.

We complete homework together ensuring understanding and confidence.  Fostering our love of reading is also encouraged.
