Our primary school: fun while learning

Our bilingual primary school offers children an ideal environment for an enjoyable and relaxed learning experience, helping them to become self-confident, responsible, creative and committed personalities. We attach great importance to respectful behaviour based on clear rules. Our experienced native-speaking teachers support the children individually, awaken the joy of learning in them and encourage them to give their best. Small classes allow us to focus on individual requirements.

Lessons are in German for one half of the week and in English for the other. The two class teachers work closely together to ensure smooth transitions in the teaching process. Music, crafts and sport are taught by specialists. French is commenced as a second foreign language in 3rd grade.

We welcome new students warmly. Our language booster lessons entail additional support in the second language to help newcomers commence at our school. Diverse recreational activities create a sense of community among the students. Extracurricular supervision in conjunction with optional homework support helps parents to organise their work and family life efficiently.

Lessons are based on Curriculum 21 (Lehrplan 21) as well as on the Cambridge International Curriculum and we are also recognised by the Cantons Basel-Stadt and Zurich. This makes it is possible to switch to a state-run secondary or senior school in Switzerland or abroad.

This makes us unique:

  • Committed and experienced native-speaking teachers

  • Individual support by additional teachers
  • Lessons according to Curriculum 21 (Lehrplan 21) and the Cambridge International Curriculum
  • Bilingual teaching material
  • Additional lessons in the core languages (German, English) for new students
  • Extensive recreational activities programme
  • Ski camp and outdoor educational camp

  • All-day supervision before and after school (incl. lunch)

  • Homework supervision

«The school is inclusive and attention is given to all children, in collaboration with the families.»
